Tiramisu

Na tarde de domingo de Páscoa e por ser um dia especial, tive entretido a preparar um tiramisù. A receita já me tinha sido dada há uns meses uma vez que a tinha pedido após uma certa tarde de sábado. A verdade é que eu já tinha tentado fazer o tiramisu pelos meus anos, só que na altura não fui capaz de encontrar todos os ingredientes da receita, tendo então adiado provisoriamente para o dia de Pascoa. Provisoriamente porque tinha na mesma que encontrar os ingredientes necessários.

Sunday Easter afternoon and because it was a special day, I was occupied preparing a tiramisù. The recipe had already been given to me few months ago, since I had asked for it after a Saturday afternoon. The fact is that I had already tried to make the tiramisù for my birthday, but at that time I was not able to find all the ingredients of the recipe and then I decided to postpone tentatively for the Easter Sunday. Tentatively because I had yet to find before all the necessary ingredients.

Na sexta feira santa, sendo feriado fui fazer ás compras logo de manhã e tentei procurar pelos ingredientes no carrefour. Quem tivesse reparado em mim acharia no mínimo estranho estar ali uma pessoa durante 8 minutos á volta dos queijos e yogurtes a olhar para todas as prateleiras. Mesmo procurando durante tanto tempo, acabei por não encontrar grande parte dos ingredientes... sendo assim optei por não comprar nenhum e esperar por sábado. Sábado voltei a carga, e qual não foi o meu espanto quando nos primeiros 15 segundos na loja, dei logo de caras com o queijo Mascarpone [um dos ingredientes que eu nunca tinha conseguido achar.] e depois de ter apanhado o mais difícil os outros apareceram naturalmente!! :D

On the Good Friday, being a non working day, I went to the carrefour for shopping hoping to find  the ingredients. Those whom might have notice me would probably think it odd being someone staring at the cheese and the yoghurt shelves for as long as 8 minutes. Despite having looked for so much time I was unable to find all the necessary ingredients....so I decided to try again on the following day. Saturday I "attacked" again, and for my surprise in the first 15 seconds in the shop, I immediately found the Mascarpone cheese [one of the ingredients that I had never seen.] and after retrieving the most difficult one all the others appeared naturally. :D

Tendo os ingredientes todos, e em pleno domingo de pascoa [em que fiquei tambem sem gas], começei entao a preparar o tiramisu, com a certeza de que se tudo corresse bem teria uma sobremesa para comer...[uma vez que o bolo ficou meio cozido!! :p] Em menos de 1 hora tinha o tiramisu pronto para "descansar" no frigorifico. Passado três horas foi altura de o provar, e apenas tenho a dizer que a velocidade com que ele "voou" só pode significar que estava muito bom. Bem pelo menos para algo que eu fiz... pois também é certo que não ficou tão saboroso como quando provei esta receita pela primeira vez.!!!

Having all the ingredients, and being Easter Sunday [the same day that my "gas can" finished], I soon started to prepare the tiramisu,  with the certainty that if all went well I would have by the end of the day dessert to eat.... [since the cake that I was doing was just half cooked, because of the gas!! :p] In less than one hour the tiramisu was ready to "rest" in the fridge. And after 3 hours it was finally time to taste it, I should notice that the speed with which he "disappeared" can only mean that it was very good. Or at least good for something that I have made... since it is also true that it was not as tasty as when I first tasted this recipe!!!

Como era semana da Pascoa, e algumas pessoas terem estado para fora acabei por ser o unico a provar o tiramisu. Contudo numa proxima vez, e para que saiba melhor [pelo menos a mim] , terá de ser partilhado!!!

Since it was Easter week, and some people that I knew were not around I was the only one to taste this tiramisu. However next time, and in order for it to taste better [at least for me], it has to be shared!!
